GPA & Weighted GPA Calculator
Add every course you're taking with its letter grade and credit hours to calculate your weighted GPA.
Why GPA is a weighted average, not a simple one
GPA weights each course's grade points by its credit hours, so a 4-credit course pulls your average more than a 1-credit course. Two students with identical letter grades but different credit loads can end up with different GPAs.
Where "weighted" GPA scales diverge between schools
Some schools add extra grade-point value for honors or AP courses, pushing a "weighted" scale above 4.0, while others use a flat unweighted 4.0 scale regardless of course difficulty. Check which scale your school reports before comparing your number to an admissions benchmark.
