Speed, Distance & Time Solver
Solve for speed, distance, or time when you know the other two values.
One formula, three ways to solve it
Speed = distance ÷ time — but rearranged, you can solve for any of the three depending on which two you already know: distance = speed × time, or time = distance ÷ speed.
The unit mismatch that causes most errors
Entering time in minutes while distance is in miles, for an answer expected in mph, is the single most common source of a wildly wrong result. Confirm your time and distance units match what the output unit expects before trusting the number.
